Hello, dear users. I am registered on more than 40 different forums in various languages, 20 of which are CIS-speaking.
And I noticed an interesting trend that neither English-language nor German forums have a deposit system, as is widespread in the CIS.

4. [Optional]: After making a deposit, the administrator manually adds the prefix “Deposit” to the topic; it cannot be removed or added by yourself.
   Prefix: Deposit (in violet color): A deposit of €1,000 has been made.
   Prefix: Deposit+ (in green color): A deposit of €10,000 has been made.
   Prefix: Deposit++ (in red color): A deposit of €30,000 has been made.

More details:

• This prefix is assigned to all work topics.
• It is removed if the deposit has been withdrawn.
• For security reasons, deposits are not withdrawn immediately to avoid potential scams.
  The person writes that they want to withdraw their deposit, and only after 14 days does the money arrive in their account, provided that no complaints have been made against them. Otherwise, the period is extended for another 14 days, after the complaint has been resolved.

All this is necessary so that if TS refuses to pay compensation to the victim in the Complaint and its guilt is confirmed, the buyer will not suffer any losses, as the amount will be deducted from the defendant's deposit. Attention! This is purely individual, but I would suggest that if the defendant refuses to pay the victim, the amount is withdrawn from the deposit and paid to the victim, while the defendant is blocked on the forum, and the remaining amount is transferred to a “savings account” in case there are other victims.

This is all done for the safety of users, the number of whom is unknown, as it is unclear how many may have been deceived. After all, not everyone knows that he is registered on this particular forum. He could have deceived others as well.

And so on! I think you get the idea. These stars affect the seller's overall rating among ALL sellers from ALL forums and resources. This is a single catalog where you can find sellers from all resources and check their status and forums from ALL FORUMS at once!

What does a seller's profile look like in this catalog:

In this catalog you can find:

• Forums, registration dates, statuses, and links to profiles for verification.
• Current seller contacts.
• Number of transactions through escrow.
• Total number of topics reviewed.
• Total number of reviews from all forums.
• The rating given for the stars mentioned earlier.
• Type of activity. For example: printing documents.

This is every salesperson's real BUSINESS CARD!

I don't think this is necessary, the forum is over a year old, there are verified sellers. What is necessary is to tell every customer to take a photo of the purchased product after delivery and describe it in detail as feedback... as for the security deposit, I think that this forum is not for children like the others, the advantage is that it is updated on a daily basis and that as proof they require photos with the date, the name of the forum and the name of the seller, which in itself is sufficient proof that the product being sold corresponds to the description.

But in my experience, only about 1 in 10 or even 20 people actually write reviews. At least in my niche.

A deposit is good because it saves you from having to work with a guarantor, because even if you have enough reviews, people will still want to work with a guarantor. But when they see that you have a deposit on the forum, they are more willing to cooperate because they understand that they are safe, because deposit = guarantor = safety.

But that's not all. A deposit is not only about safety, but also about reputation and a serious attitude towards your business. Having a deposit on the forum makes you stand out from your competitors, as a result of which, according to statistics, you receive 30% more orders than others, which means you earn more.
